Codicology!! By Noell El Farol

A couple of ladies and I went to our Professor's (two semesters ago) exhibit at One Workshop today.
It was really fun! Spent a lot of time walking there and it was raining, but it was all worth it.

 What's up Porbes?

You guys should've seen the details on sir's work!
It reminded me so much of our first year plates on paper.
Also realizing so much things about the materials we use. (And our past materials class)
Maybe someday i could experiment on materials again. Also honestly amazed at his works.
Always proud to have been his student.

(I have so many unexpressed feelings about art)

YES!

HELLO HELLO THERE MARNIE!

Lulu the exhibit guide!

 SPOILS!

We went down at Heima and bought some things and accompanied Marnie with her internship stuff, also passed by Team Manila afterwards. This day turned out pretty ok.

EDIT!

OH I FORGOT TO SAY! The gallery owner was really nice to us. He even told us to draw on the walls and leave a small note to Sir! Pretty cool.

Four for you Jonard!

A dear friend of mine asked me draw him for his blog! I enjoyed making these. I hope he likes it. :)

I based most of the outfits on some his posts...and photos.

Does it look like him? I hope so.

 BOOTS!

Here's an Update! (Part 4)

Oh woops I forgot to say. I made tumblr just for my doodles and comics. I'm sort of updating single posts there. And if you want to go check it out :D

Here's an Update! (Part 3)

Ok so I was supposed to make more posts about the things i actually make in school...but then I realized they can wait...instead here's a post about my feelings about artschool.

I made these doodles months ago in the darkest of times...also I i'm explaining why the haircut looks diff... anyway...

Meanwhile in the freshman year :
Back in first year my first ever plate was a failure...and it was on going cycle then.
(Frustration, self-assessment, self-loathing, fury, blind rage translated to motivation, success, motivation, Practice. This process will repeat when failure happens)

Which of course happens all over again in Illustration class. 3 years later.

But the cycle goes a different way this time. Frustration, Denial, Fury, Self-loathing, rage translated to motivation, binge eating, cramming. Success! Then motivation again. Although the success came later on after a whole lot of Denial, Self-loathing and Frustration. It was not pretty.

Mostly my motivation comes from my old-self, I just can't let her down y'know. She even had a beret on.

 truth.

But then later on your grades come out and you get As. Then it's all worth it.

I guess all I'm saying is
you shouldn't give up mainly because you have a few low scores man. Keep proving to yourself you can do a better job on the next thing you're going to make and don't let anyone else tell you that you can't. (I am a sentimental forreals)

anyway good evening! And thank you for reading..

Here's an Update! (Part 2)

I made a couple of things for UNI in the past few months...consider this a Print dump!

This set is for a rebranding project for a music store...whom I shall not name:

 Marketing Collaterals

Here is an Update! (Part 1)

My junior year is finally over folks! And I've not had any proper post in this blog in a long time, I am so sorry to whoever still checks this place. But here I am and I will work on some posts that happened in the past few months! These events are sort of a big deal for me and here i go... I'll start off with my VMA (Visual Merchandising Arts) class.

Our finals for this class was going to be an exhibit on Window Displays, our past plates etc. and let me tell you we used up a lot of money for this. And this was my first time to actually spend an all nighter in the gallery. For two days! Crazy. Anyway here's the poster of the event:

(Poster by Meg De Leon, Revised by James Mendoza)

**The exhibit was actually on the 7th though.

So the opening went extremely well! Also I don't have a lot photos to show so let's cut right to it.

If ever you were at the exhibit opening that day, I was the dudette with the red bow-tie.

This was my group's window. We were the one's who made the display for a bookstore. We chose Fully Booked for our Brand.

These Victorian porcelain dolls we used were actually my grandma's collection. These used to creep me out, I never really thought they be of use to me. (Thanks lola!)

Above: This was the poster I made for our Window.

heeeeeeeere it is (I'm still sorry about spelling your name wrong Erika!)

Oh and we won first place. How cool is that?
(Ok, maybe i cried a little...we just worked so hard ok?)

Also for the Estrellas Manila Group for winning 3rd place! You guys are actually my second Favorite!

Also our Fantastic Mr. Fox Projects were displayed there too. But you know ain't got a lot of photos.
